Facebook Rap Battles

Damn, I really kill 'em though. I think the art of insult has become honed completely in the world of hip hop, rap, rap battles, battles in general. In terms of rap insults though, its more elementary school shit. The art of an insult is more personified in hip hop. When you're battling someone in a hip hop setting, i.e., good beats, no such thing as bitches and hoes, etc., its more intellectual almost. You're using what you see and know to degrade someone, not just talking about how you're the shit and how you pull bitches and smoke blunts all day. Rap battles are something less, used to just humiliate and gain status. I feel like a true battle consists of give and take, battling to show your skills, which seems to be seen as a bad thing now, but really is the basis of why humans do anything. Just thoughts.
This is what I want to see; shirts off, arms up, maybe a little loaded, homies standin around as you try to up your game.

Breathe In, Breathe Out

Breathe in, breathe out, that's all we're taught
And all I've got so far are these words I spout
Lookin back on my times in elementary
I lost myself in speaking sedimentary
Trying moments moved to the back
Steps forward stilted by powerful stacks
...

I think I'm losing myself lately. I'm changing and moving on, but its like my other half doesn't want to move with me. I feel like he and I need to break it off, but how does one go about breaking a bond like the one he and I share?

I guess I should look on the bright side..
If we were to break up, I'd have the freedom I was asking for.
